You’re on LinkedIn, now what do you do? #TechTipTuesday

This week’s Tech Tip Tuesday focuses on LinkedIn.  images

LinkedIn is one of top three or four social networking sites in the world. It is synonamous with business and virtually a requirement for people in business and industry. I joined LinkedIn a couple of years ago. However, what I realized over the last few months is that I joined and then did . . . nothing. It simply wasn’t clear to me beyond creating on online resume what the site’s purpose is.

Recently, I listened to an episode of the Social Media Serenity podcast from the gspn.tv network, which entirely focused on LinkedIn. It included the regular hosts, Cliff Ravenscraft and Andy Traub, as well as Justin Lucasavige, professional financial coach, with Lukas Coaching.   All three people have substantial experience with social media and provided a decent amount of solid content on LinkedIn.

This is the most helpful source I have found and I encourage you to listen to the podcast if you are interested in learning more about what to do with LinkedIn.

Check it out the podcast here.

On this blog, I write about and try to answer practical Oklahoma legal questions. My focus and most experience is in estate planning and business issues including Oklahoma non-compete law. I make a living as an attorney in the law firm I founded, Shawn J. Roberts, P.C. in Oklahoma City. I live in Edmond with my wife Amy and my two children, Sam (19) and David (11). We live precisely in the path of where the "wind comes sweeping down the plains."
